There’re no reasons to attribute this print to Martha Cunz. Other than have an excuse to “represent” her in this collection. It is unsigned and a second (signed) copy was never seen. There are however 2 arguments “pro”: it is pretty good and the use of colour is reminding of at least one (St. Gallen) print by her. So: it could be by her. “La Cunz” can be considered the godmother of Modern Printmaking in Europe. Her life and career are well researched and published (unlike her many printmaking sister artists) and her body of work covered and documented. As printmaker she was as prolific as Helene Mass who created around 80 different prints.

Dear print lover, passing-by visitor and reader:
While this new gallery-museum site is under construction (being build-up, stocked and arranged) priority must be given to first add all the represented artists in the index with works from the collection and if possible with the examples from the archives.
During construction the site is open to visitors, questions, feedback and suggestions.
