It took a while to discover the identity artist of this photographically etched classic sitting nude. It was found in a large collection of graphic works being dissolved. It was shown and discussed in “The Studio”, the influential British art review in 1911. The article learned in 1902 Danse had been the subject of a personal article. 

The other example of a seated nude by Danse who was a well known Belgian artist and teacher was found in the collections of Amsterdam “Rijks Museum”.
