Jewish artist. Originally born in Ukraine, studied in Vienna, moved to Paris and emigrated to Israel. Know from a series of colour woodblock prints of Israel scenery published in a folio and in a modernist cubist influences style.

Brauer, Johannes (Hans) (Leipzig 24-02-1887 - After 1965 probably/possibly New-Zealand)
Painter, illustrator, advertisement artist, graphic artist and printmaker. Studied at Leipzig “Akademie für Graphischen Künste und Buchgewerbe” and at Munich academy.
Probably emigrated to New-Zealand. In 1965 the Papa Tongarewa Museum of New Zealand received a collection of prints as a personal gift from the artist.
Leipzig “Zeichenschule Brauer” saw painter sculptor Max Klinger (1857-1920) following Sunday class courses.
