In the Hamam
Paul Gervais, who is not known as an etcher but well known from his many colourful paintings of the sensual female nude. This etching by an unidentified etcher, is probably after a painting (not found). Gervais had been a student of Jean-Léon Gérome and Gabrièl Ferrier.
Gervais is known to have painted popular Harem scenes like his famous teacher and example Gérome.
