Bucolica by Virgil 

Lithographic illustration from the 1974 German bibliophile edition of Virgil’s BUCOLICA. Edition of 1300 on hand made papers (31 x 44cm) Several prints are hand signed by the artist. Very much in the French tradition of illustrating bibliophile editions of classic mythology by famous artists for instance those by sculptor Aristide Maillol. 

Robert Kirchner was described as a Classic Modernist.
