Forgotten artist who worked as teacher at drawing in Königsberg (Kaliningrad) Lyceum (school for girls - “Höhere Töchter”. This hand coloured 1943 “Blaumeisen” (great tits) is very reminding of Walter Klemm’s print (that appeared slightly altered in a magazine (“der Kunstwart”) as a “winter-print”. This print showed up in an online auction April 2024. She was the daughter of a Königberg architect Franz Knauer. All biographical help on Eva Knauer is very welcomed.

The only digital references to her existence was found in “Dressler’s Kunsthandbuch” 1930 and the Königsberg only surviving “Adressbuch” edition 1935.
