Not widely known Czech printmaker represented by this lithographic print showing Liberec in the Czech Republic. He is however represented with some very fine examples of woodblock prints in the collection of three of my closest print collecting friends in Germany and America. Because of the exceptional and exquisite quality of his prints (all showing places near or in his native Liberec) he is awarded guest of honour in this website. Liberec is also the hometown of his friend and teacher printmaker Karl Johne who became known to a greater audience (and collectors). Together they documented Liberec and its beautiful surrounding around Mount Jeschken in woodblock prints.

Because of his monogram WK his prints are sometimes mistakenly attributed to Walter Klemm, even by auctioneers.
