Willibald Kramm (1874 - 1942)

“Rainy street in Berlin ?”

This painting (and to be honest also the artist, who I never heard of before) came up trying to find out about the Paris street view painting. It is said Kramm was heavily influence by Van Gogh and Edvard Munch, names distantly “connected” with the composition of my painting. His daughter Brigitte (1919-2001) married two times with important artists (see the accompanying short) biographies book). In later life she travelled over Europe with her father to paint (below: Italy).
