Although this painter (one of the nicest I ever “discovered”) is not known by woodblock (relief) printmaking, although she is mentioned as a lithographic printmaker in the 1904 Reinhard Piper catalog, she earns her place and representation. To be able to share the wonderful range of impressionist paintings plucked from the www. Kretschmann-Winckelmann is family name, not the combination of a married woman’s name. Hence the bookplate for Horst K-W. (He lived in Berlin)


To this day I have never seen a printed work of art by this artist surface.
