“Schlittschuh-bahn” 1913
By an unidentified artist. So it is uncertain if it is created by a male or female artist. There are perhaps some of clues, also in the drawing of the same scene. It is hard to understand why the artist is still unknown. It it also strongly reminding of a ice skating print and an etching by Walter Klemm (below). I am confident the artist will be revealed some day. The price of both offered works (the woodblock and drawing, historically, should remain together ) stood in the way of acquisition …….
Identification clues: the signature, 1913, “Originalholzschnitt (Hand……)”, “Eissee - Tübingen”, “Schlittschuhbahn“ and “… Reutlingen”.
