Some 25 years ago this sculptures, found its way from Zimbabwe to the Netherlands and eventually to me. The larger torso is cut from brownish-black locally mined Serpentine (65.cm. 23 Kg.) and smaller from beautiful green Serpentine (40cm., 13 Kg)
The decision not making a choice was never regretted.
Only recently the name artist sculptor was discovered and it was learned these stylised female torsos are his trademark: several other examples could be found in auctions and galleries world-wide: from America to Australia.
