Helene Merz (1890 - 1870)
The fishing boats-harbour scene location is still unknown. The next three examples are of the city of Passau at the confluence of rivers Donau and Inn at the Austrian border. She is represented because she was a student of Martha Schrag and I just happen to like her crude and “simple” drawings with the etching needle directly onto the etching plate, which leaves no room for mistakes and proves a confident sketching and drawing hand
