One could say Hans Wieland was a Swiss alpine painter because of his many painting of wintery alps. Only on one occasion a print (said to a litho) was found (2023). He is represented with a reproduction published in the Kunstwart magazine (above. It could have been the sketch for a woodblock artist: only a few colours, a simplified design and greatest effect. Checking his oeuvre it occurred to me the paintings I like most are the ones where he combines ice-cold light blues with warm ocre-yellow.
His charming “nude on a porch” overlooking the lake is probably my No. 1 favourite painting by this artist

Dear print lover, passing-by visitor and reader:
While this new gallery-museum site is under construction (being build-up, stocked and arranged) priority must be given to first add all the represented artists in the index with works from the collection and if possible with the examples from the archives.
During construction the site is open to visitors, questions, feedback and suggestions.
