Wigand’s 1919 print of the “Sedan Lazaret”, a monochrome linocut print, was lithographically reproduced and hand coloured to celebrate his 85 birthday in 1975 with an exhibition: “Albert Wigand zum 85. Geburtstag”, Galerie am Sachsenplatz, Leipzig 1975. Sheet size: 35,4 x 53,7 cm. on paper coloured with watercolour after the linocut of 1919.
It is Verso inscribed and signed in pencil by Horst Arloth 1975 who lead the graphic classes at Leipzig “Hochschule” and taught lithography.
Wigand is best known for his paintings using a very attractive pastel pallet. A small choice and selection of examples.

Dear print lover, passing-by visitor and reader:
While this new gallery-museum site is under construction (being build-up, stocked and arranged) priority must be given to first add all the represented artists in the index with works from the collection and if possible with the examples from the archives.
During construction the site is open to visitors, questions, feedback and suggestions.
